Finally back from 3 days trip to Ipoh to get the initial procedure completed before getting braces. ^^
On the first day of arrival, Munyee and Cheng yee fetched me from Sri Maju terminal bus station. Thanks babes!
We went straight back to their house and chit-chat for more than half an hour before making our way to newly relocated Foh-San.
We reached Foh-san at 6 pm, but a security standing at the doorstep refrained us from entering as business starts at 6.30pm. Gosh, they’re getting very lazy. We waited for 20 mins outside the main entrance.
All of us had quite a heavy breakfast. Overall, the food taste the same as before (or a little worse?) , the only change is the ambience. Ya, nothing special.
Getting straight to the main aim of going to Ipoh, Munyee and Chengyee brought me to the Hu X-ray located nearby their house in the afternoon. Seriously, there was 1 thing which I couldn’t stand when I visited that place on that day was the attitude of a receptionist at the counter. She was a braggart and pompous late 20s or early 30s lady who kept bragging in English. Initially, we went there without a medical letter and she wouldn’t accept our request for doing X-ray for my teeth.
WTH? If you use your brain you will know that people in their line, handling tons and tons of such X-ray, will definitely be familiarized with the procedures that had to be done. My cousin did her X-ray without giving the medical letter before! Damn sickening.
Very bu shuang, we made our way to the dental clinic at Pengakalan and obtained the medical letter from the orthodontist before getting back again to that X-ray specialized clinic.
Once again, that braggart served us and requested for my I.C. She wrote down my particulars and of cos, my I.C is written with ‘Republic of Singapore’. There she went, speaking to me in English, showing off how excellent and fluent her English is . Please lor, she asked me whether I know how to speak Cantonese and I replied her a ‘Yes’. Just can’t she spoke to me in Cantonese?
Anyway, I just found her verbose. M-i-s-s B-o-m-b-a-s-t-i-c.
We left that dreadful place and went back to the dental clinic. That clinic is a very ‘U-lu’ and had to go up a narrow staircase. The first impression when I went up was, “wow, is that a dental clinic?”
What welcomed us was a little window, desk and a few chairs. Out of nowhere, a lady popped her head out of that little window and asked for my purspose of visit. Very very heng, there was no patients/visitors at that time, and I got my chance to get in ASAP.
Initially, I thought that the lady who received me is the orthodontist. She told me to lie down on the dental chairs and wait. Not long, a guy walked out from another corner of the clinic and he was wearing casual clothes. Another surprise, a doctor don’t really look like a doctor.
I gave him the X-ray which I had taken and he explained to me briefly what kind of treatment and result I should received upon wearing braces. I was told that my upper and lower jaw seem to be more protruded than the others which make my mouth looks like fish. Sounds funny, but that’s how ugly my teeth are.
I had to extract out the 1st or 2nd premolar. Extracting the 1st premolar (bigger in size) will cause a big gap in my mouth when I smiled but it is a faster treatment as compared to extractin 2nd premolar. There is also a bigger room for pushing the teeth much inwards for extraction of 1st premolar.
In the end, I chose the extraction of my 2nd premolar as I do not want to smile like a shit!
The orthodontist swabbed some pinkish substances on my teeth to numb it a little. Next, the scary part was the injection anesthesia into my gum to fully numb my gum. I was freaking painful when he injected the needle right into my gum!~
I was told to wait for the effect of the anesthesia to take place. After 5 mins, I was called back in again and horrendous tools were awaiting my teeth.
The orthodontist tested my nervous feeling by pricking the needle into my gum, $%#@%(*.
There was pain! He continued replenished with more and more anesthesia. Super duper crazy lor!
Next, was the final extraction. He began using scary tools to pull out my teeth. With great force, he twisted and pulled with strength that was strong enough to move the whole dental chair. No bragging!
With all his might, my obstinate tooth was finally plucked out. It was indeed a bloody huge tooth! Yikes!
After the extraction, I was told to come again for another extraction of tooth. Poor me! That’s the sacrifice for beauty.
The history repeated again. Separators were inserted in between my teeth on my lower teeth. What I could describe about the separators stucked in between my teeth is S-O-R-E!
My next appointment is this coming Fri and I’m totally excited about it cos braces will be placed in. Oh ya, filing will be done also in the coming appointment. Endure endure endure~
